Nick Andrews, Director of Operations
Mr. Andrews has over 15 years of experience leading cross-functional teams to plan, facilitate, and execute all phases of validation, including cleaning, process, equipment & facilities. In addition, he has experience leading cross-functional teams to plan, facilitate, and execute all phases of process engineering for pharmaceutical and biologic solid dosage, liquids, sterile and medical devices. Nick is a results driven individual with extensive experience working with companies ranging from big pharmaceutical to virtual companies and managing multiple clients in an aggressive contract manufacturing environment.
Prior to joining Medvacon, Nick managed Technical Services for Halo Pharma, a contract development and manufacturing organization that specializes in the lifecycle of a drug product from concept through clinical studies and commercialization. He managed the Technical Services team responsible for validation of equipment, facilities, process and cleaning and for providing technical process engineering support to the development team during process scale up and process transfer. Nick hosted and responded to over 35 client and regulatory agency audits, including FDA and EU/MHRA Inspections. He also managed and developed a cleaning validation program for a facility that handled multiple API’s up to category 3a. Nick previously managed the commercial manufacturing plant, pilot plant and packaging operations to meet product activities as scheduled in a facility that manufactured solid dosage, liquid, and sterile products. He started his career at Wyeth Biotech after earning a B.S. in biochemical engineering from Rutgers. Nick also served in the National Guard and is an Eagle Scout. |
